This year, Chrome & Leather VI exhibit will present an array of extraordinary custom bikes showcasing the creativity and the airbrush artistry of Volusia County’s own Chris Cruz.

The Chrome and Leather Bash

The event will begin February 27, 2009 with the annual Chrome & Leather Bash. Wear your best biker gear and enjoy music, food, cash bar, shooter girls, a live auction, and special guests – the Sintral Florida Derby Demons.

Following Friday's activities, on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM, there will be a Celebrity Ride featuring Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams), which will begin at the Museum and end at the Daytona Beach Kennel Club with more live music and food.

 

 

 

Now in It's 6th Year.....

The Art of Chrome and Leather VI is the sixth year of the exhibit which has become a Bike Week tradition as the motorcycle continues source of intrigue in American Culture and a popular subject for artists of all kinds.

Each year the museum features outstanding motorcycle designs, concepts and photographs by featured artists who have used the motorcycle as the primary focus of their creative expression.

Exhibits in pror years have featured local racing legends like Billy (Ace) Meyers with pictures from his remarkable 1950s and 60s racing career on dirt and pavement.

One of Meyer’s vintage BSA bikes was also on display. Compliment the Meyer’s retrospective, Suzzane Heddy, Director of the Halifax Historical Museum loaned their images of motorcycle racing on the sands of Daytona Beach from the 1920s to the 1950s
