Laconia Motorcycle Week 2008

Ever wonder why the Laconia rally was the first motorcycle rally in the United States? Three bikers from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts tell why they have been coming to Laconia for the last 30 years.

The Harley Davidson Road Show was introduced at last years rally. It was a popular event will be back again this year. Check out our video of Jenna as she explains what the requirements are for taking a demo ride and how to get your Official HOG pin.

As usual the rally events fill most of the hotels and campgrounds, so make your plans early.

 

 

An Invitation to the Laconia Rally

Jennifer Anderson from the Laconia Motorcycle Week association explains why Laconia is a world class rally and how it has expanded to include dozens of events.

The 85th annual Loudon Classic, the oldest motorcycle race in the country will continue the tradition of exciting, must-see activities as well as thrilling motorcycle racing at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15.

One of the reasons the challenging 1.6 mile road course is such an exciting race is the the "Bowl", considered one of the most famous turns in all of motorcycle road racing.

Racing begins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and runs through Sunday, with 13 races on each day. including camping Friday and Saturday nights.
